The production transposed Shakespeare's darkest and most brutal tragedy to ancient Celtic Cornwall, a wild land with interesting power struggles of its own and an uneasy relationship between the Pagan and early Christian.

Mapbeth featured a cast that included established Collective members David Kershaw, Rosie Hughes, Jason Squibb, Jayne Denny and Pat Kelman. This team was joined by new additions Peter Cadwell from Newquay and T J Holmes from Ludgvan.

The three-month tour visited most of Cornwall with excursions into London, Devon, Somerset and Wales.
